To support the digitization of its warehouse operations, REMA, a specialist in hoisting and lifting equipment, fall protection, and internal transport solutions, trusted CaptureTech in a warehouse optimization and digitization project, which included Newland’s MT90 Orca Pro Mobile Computer. The rugged device was introduced to streamline barcode scanning processes and provide warehouse employees with reliable mobile access to operational data throughout the day.

The implementation replaced paper-based workflows with a fully digital process for order picking, inventory management, and warehouse administration. By implementing the CaptureTech solution, including the MT90 Orca Pro, REMA gained faster data processing, improved scan accuracy, and more efficient communication between the warehouse floor and back-office systems.

From Analysis to Implementation and Optimization

REMA needed to digitize its warehouse operations without investing in unnecessary software features that would add complexity and cost. From the initial warehouse analysis through implementation and ongoing support, CaptureTech delivered a tailored, worry-free solution that included both software and Hardware-as-a-Service.

To create a fully paperless warehouse environment, CaptureTech first conducted a comprehensive site analysis to determine the network infrastructure requirements. With the touch of a button, warehouse employees can manage inventory directly within the application, eliminating manual data entry, reducing errors, and significantly improving operational accuracy and efficiency.

Selected for its ergonomic design, integrated barcode scanner, and rugged construction, the MT90 Orca Pro Mobile Computer enables warehouse employees to scan products, confirm picks, and process inventory movements in real time throughout the working day.

The Android-based platform integrated smoothly with REMA's existing systems and CaptureTech Connect, while the touchscreen interface and lightweight design supported rapid user adoption among warehouse staff. Designed for demanding logistics environments, the MT90 Orca Pro delivers the durability and reliability required for continuous use in warehouses.

  • 1.5-meter drop resistance

  • 5" touch screen for displaying key information with enough room for a digital keyboard
