Newland EMEA today announced that Yavuz Sahin has been brought on board to serve as their Regional Manager for Turkey and Iran. Mr. Sahin brings a wealth of industry experience with over 17 years of product management expertise, including 10 years with Newland distributor Perkon in a variety of management roles. At Perkon, the AIDC market leader in Turkey, he played an essential part in the success the company had in the pharmaceutical industry. The company responded strongly to new national laws being implemented over the last few years requiring DataMatrix codes for serialization, leading them to become a major player in the industry with 2D barcode scanners.

“As we continue to grow Newland EMEA’s position in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, we are excited to have Yavuz managing Turkey and Iran,” said Peter Sliedrecht, CEO of Newland EMEA. “Yavuz brings to our team the perfect blend of experience and relationships to grow our business and strengthen Newland as a trusted partner.

With Yavuz having been partially responsible for Newland products with Perkon, we have built a strong relationship throughout the years. After 10 years, Yavuz was looking for a new challenge and it is clear he is a great fit for the Newland team and our business aspirations. It was the obvious next step and we couldn’t be more pleased to have him on the team.”

Mr. Sahin agrees, stating “I am extremely excited to be able to carry my experience to the next level, to serve in such a successful organization and to be a part of the future of AIDC. As a new Newlander, I am looking forward to focussing on the cooperation with the different regions and providing them with the support Newland is known for.”

Yavuz starts his position on the 1st of April.
