New BS10R Sepia Ring Scanner Helps Keep Your Hands Free
Today, Newland EMEA is releasing their BS10R Sepia Bluetooth Ring scanner. The BS10R Sepia offers a great hands free scanning solution for warehouse and logistics applications.
Hands-free barcode scanning
The BS10R Sepia Bluetooth ring scanner helps keep your hands free. When you have your hands full on warehouse management, package handling and stocktaking, it increases your efficiency and eases your work load. When you have your hands full carrying boxes, it’s within reach without getting in the way.
The ring scanner functions as an extension of your hand, adding a barcode scanner that provides an easy solution for daily tasks. Its trigger button is positioned on the side of the device, making it easy to operate with one hand. Wear it on your index finger, aim, then scan with your thumb. The 360° turning head makes the device suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users.
Connect to another device
A built-in buzzer and LED give feedback on each scan. For users that require more elaborate feedback or instant communication, the BS10R Sepia has Bluetooth 4.1 wireless technology. Whether your system runs on windows, Android or iOS and whether you use a tablet, smartphone or one of Newland’s mobile computers, pairing the ring scanner is easy. This allows you to carry the connected device with you and check it. Alternatively, Newland offers wearable solutions (see top image) for instant feedback.
For applications that require the ring scanner to connect to a fixed device like a computer, the ringscanner stays connected up to 30 meters from the host. That way, you are free to move around your store or warehouse.
Reliable, full-shift use
Built to withstand 1.5 meter drops to concrete and bumps on metal surfaces, the BS10R Sepia is a reliable barcode scanning solution. With Bluetooth taking up minimal battery life, the ring scanner comfortably lasts well over 8 hours, even during a day of intensive scanning.
