0.How to confirm the types of your equipment, X+? X? or other type?
A.X+ type(EM2027 series, last number of serial number is "X+"), supported interface types: USB-DataPipe, USB Com Port Emuation, HID-KBW,RS232.
X type(EM2100 series, last number of serial Number is "X"), supported interface types: USB-DataPipe, USB Com Port Emuation, HID-KBW,RS232.

1.How to confirm whether the driver has been installed successfully?
A.First, confirm the equipment had connected to PC and the equipment operating normally. Open: Control Panel> Device Manager> Universal Serial Bus Controller,
If there is "Newland USB Datapipe to series Device" said connection is "USB Com Port Emuation"--COM.
If there is "Newland USB DataPipe Device" said connection is "USB-DataPipe".
If there is yellow "!" before the equipment, delete the equipment, and then scan detection hardware changes,  Wait for the system to automatically install the new drivers finished.

2.Whether it is necessary upgrade the driver of USB-Datapipe from the old version to the new v1.2  USB driver (vcomctrl v1.2.exe)?
A.The new driver support USB Interface of X+ : USB-DataPipe/  USB Com Port Emuation/HID-KBW. If the users of X series, had developed their own application through the USB SDK, recommendations are not updated to the latest driver.

3.If you have installed v1.2 USB driver, how to connect by USB-Datapipe?
A.If your equipment is X+ series, read the set code of USB-Datapipe.(You can download The Manual of Settings Code free from this website.) If your equipment is X series, first you should close USB to COM serve, open Control Panel> Tools> Services, find "Bulk to Serial service", select properties: select stop, Startup Type: Manual.

4.After installed the new driver, how to find out the COM port Corresponding to the USB Com Port Emuation?
A.Open Start> all the procedures>vcomctrl>vcomctrl, you can find the number of the COM port there.

5.Why QuickSet can not connect the equipment through USB after installed v1.2 driver?
A.Confirm FAQ-1 driver has installed correctly --> Check out the number of COM port of FAQ-4 --> Confirmed equipment has been launched. Open the Quickset, select the right COM port, manual detection. If the detection failed, you can choose one of the following ways to solve the problem:
i.Check out whether swich to HID-KBW and have set Non-HID-KBW when read The Manual of Settings Code. Change and connect it again.
ii.If it connect through COM before, open "File>PC comm... > USB>OK" in Quickset, try whether it work.
iii.Close Quickset, close connection then open Control Panel> Tools> Services, find "Bulk to Serial service", select properties: select stop, and then start it again.
Connect the equipment, open Quickset, try connection through COM.
iv.Close Quickset, close connection. Reboot the equipment, open Quickset, connect it again.
